Just a quick email to say Thank You! My children are ready for any audition they get. Donise, you were awesome! My husband and I were there with the kids, and even we walked away with a wealth of new knowledge.
At the beginning of the workshop my kids were quiet and timid, but by the middle of the day, they were totally into it, and by the end of the day, they were loud and full of confidence. It’s exactly what I wanted to see out of my kiddos. I’m excited about any auditions they get in the near future. They received excellent training from you! I’m glad our agent recommended the workshop.
Dear Ms. Donise,
I just want to thank you for all the hard work you put in for all of us. You gave us constructive criticism and that helped more than anything else.
I had such a fun time in your class on Saturday. Already, I am going so far in this business, thanks to you. You are such a big help!
Macy M. (10)
Thank you very much for a wonderful class. You are a fantastic teacher and entertainer at the same time.
All the information that you gave us was very well organized and concise. Both Mihai and I learned a lot about auditioning, film industry and commercials.
As I said before I was planing to leave after the first hour and a half, but everything that you did with the kids was so interesting, I couldn’t make myself leave. It was nice to see how, with a few tips you gave the kids, the scene looked much better.
Mihai would definitely like to do the advanced class.
I’m very glad we met you
Lots of thanks,
Thank you so much for a terrific workshop. Bella and I both thoroughly enjoyed it and learned a ton! I appreciate your time, your kind, constructive critiques and your obvious passion for teaching. I have twin 6 year old boys. When you schedule your kids workshop, please let me know. I’d love to get them into the class. We’ll try to be at the July 9th Mixer and hope to see you there!
With kindest regards,
Thank you for a spectacular and informative class. Aidan was a little tired after it all but he said it was worth it. I would like to continue with educating myself about this industry. So, please add me to your wait list.
Sun, June 22, 2014 Hi Ms. Donise, I had a great time in your workshop. I really liked the group scripts and working with my classmates. I learned so much about the auditioning process and how to be prepared so I can book roles. I would love to take another class with you. To repay my mom for allowing me to take this class, and paying for it, I am cleaning my room and bathroom, and picking up the game room, and also emptying the dishwasher and doing the dishes. Thank you! Kimberly M.
I cannot express how much Casey (and I) enjoyed your TV Commercial Audition class yesterday. She came home walking on clouds AND with a host of new skills and information that will be invaluable. I definitely take my hat off to you – not only are you a wealth of knowledge for these kids, but you can tell you truly enjoy them! It’s not easy to manage offering critique while maintaining their confidence and self-esteem and you did so beautifully. It was one of the best investments we could make and we honestly cannot thank you enough for all you do for these kids. We are true fans!
Thank you so much for the workshop on Saturday. It was so fun watching all the kids having such a good time doing what they love to do! Alyssa loved it. Please be watching your mailbox in a couple of days for her thank you note. It’s so cool (dude!) how you have such a good rapport with people. You’re a straight-shooter and that’s appreciated – much better not to have everything sugar-coated.
As always, thanks!
I wanted to thank you for all of the information that Haley and I received at the commercial audition class. Haley said she actually got more out of that class than all of the others put together. I think it has given her a new outlook on her acting. She is planning on sending you her new resume tomorrow.
I also want to check on the parent class that is coming up. Do you have any spaces left?
Thank you for such a valuable workshop! Cooper had fun and thoroughly enjoyed working with you and meeting some great kids. Thank you for making Cooper feel comfortable in front of an audience and the camera. He learned a lot.
His dad said it was great, too. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. : )
We can’t thank you enough for your time and info. Your straight forward approach was appreciated, reaffirming core values education and hard work. We all learned so much in one day.
Your resource info has landed Olivia an audition for the roll of a plus size teen. (Bizzy Blonde Entertainment)
We are redoing her head shot and resume. Any additional advice would be helpful:)
Curt, Brooke and Olivia
Thank you, thank you for the wonderful class yesterday!!!! Taylor said she had a great time and definitely feels more confident about exactly what to do when you go to an audition. I’m glad she at least let me stay for the beginning because I learned so much, too. That knowledge will help me be able to reinforce and remind her about what she learned. (Now I guess we just need to get her to an audition! 🙂
I’ll definitely talk to Laura and Heather about changes to her resume. Glad you’ll be talking to them about her, too, about how she’s doing. And, certainly if there’s anything you think I should know to be able to help her, feel free to pass along.
And, just since Laura was talking about it yesterday and to give you a couple minutes to laugh… here’s the link to Taylor’s tricks on a pogo stick (and 2 other real short videos she made that my husband put on youtube to share with our family).
Thanks again for a great class!!!
Have a great week!
Thank you so much for an amazing day! Hope was so excited she talked about the workshop for at least an hour, and it was a very enlightening day for me on the industry.
Your teen workshop helped my daughter take the next step in her passion to perform and gave me the proper tools to move forward and not waste money or time with a learning curve trying on my own. Your resume tips, work permit information, links and advice on finding the right fit with a talent agency was so appreciated.
The most gratifying part of the experience though was that my daughter loved the workshop and came home wanting more!
Hello, this is Connor.
I went to a workshop you did at class act dallas last saturday.
I just wanted to thank you, it was one of the most learning experiences I have ever had. I learned so much about the etiquette of auditioning and the acting world in general and about how to get your self known and a bunch of little things you can do get yourself known. thank you so much I really appreciate it.
you mentioned something to me about knowing a voice agent needing a 16 year old? I was wondering if you could give me more information on that. Also, at the beginning of the class you said that if any body didn’t have an agent to stay after class and talk to you about it, but I had to leave early for my play. I was wondering if you might be able to fill me in.
once again thank you so much, your teaching is invaluable, and I truly appreciate it.
Just a quick note to tell you that Courtney had an audition last week (first one in quite some time) and today she had a call back! Wahoo! She had mentioned after the audition that she kept hearing the tips that you had said to her at different times during the audition. Isn’t it nice to know she really heard you and that what you said stuck with her when she needed it most?! 🙂
Thanks again for sharing your wisdom with her/us!
I just want to send a little note to thank you so much for the great class you gave yesterday.
I am so happy that I decided to sit and watch because it gave me the opportunity to learn right along side of my daughter Kennedy. As we drove home from the workshop, Kennedy gushed on and on about how much she learned and how much fun she had with you and the other actors in the class.
I am so impressed and appreciative with the way you spoke with the kids! You treated them like adults and didn’t sugar coat anything – which to me makes so much sense. I know that Kennedy gets told over and over again how “perfect” this and that is when I know for a fact it is NOT but you just laid it out there in good ole plain english and the kids where so receptive to it!
Your willingness to share your years and wealth of knowledge of the industry is incredible. It would have taken many lost auditions to learn even a small part of what you taught in just one day.
I could ramble on and on about how valuable yesterday will end up being to Kennedy’s acting career but I will just say –
Thank you so very much!!
Thank you for the great experience and I meant what I said about wishing we had done this earlier. I really wish we had taken this class years ago! We learned so much valuable information and the way it is presented makes it entertaining and fun.
Your direct approach is what moms need to help support their child through this industry.
I’ll be enrolling my other 3 kids as soon as they are old enough!
I wanted to send you an update on one of your former students! We have been sending out packets (headshot, resume, YOUR recommendation letter, cover letter and reply card). We have received “interested” reply cards from agencies in Austin and Dallas!
Just wanted to let you know that for years we have gotten NO responses and after your class and the wealth of info you supplied, we have finally gotten positive replies!
Just a note to say Thank You and to wish you well. You met my sons, Alec and Austin at your class at the State Theater last year. My youngest son went to an open casting call with Sharon Lieblein, Head of Casting for Nickelodeon this past Sunday. He was #33 in line to see her and he got his first CallBack!!! He had a great day and he enjoyed the moment as you advised in your class. He went back yesterday for his callback and he said he made them laugh and got great responses from them. He remembered advice from your class and had a blast.
I would recommend your style and your class to anyone.
I just wanted to let you know that Mallory thought your audition workshop was the best one (of any workshop/class) she has attended. She came out of it with the most incredible air of confidence, with her shoulders held high as she walked down the sidewalk (in front of Michael and I) after leaving the theater. Some of her comments included: “Can I go again next week?”; “It was AWESOME”; when asked what she liked about it, she replied “everything!”; and “Donise is the best ever… she is so easy to talk to… I felt like I’ve known her forever!” She remembered so much of what you taught that day, demonstrating such again and again for her dad and me, and again for her grandparents the next day.
Again, thanks so much for giving such a fantastic learning experience for young actors. I can truly tell you love what you do… and that’s what it’s all about!
You are truly a great inspiration and remarkable human being.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Thanks for having my two sons in your class on Saturday. You must have done some really great things with them.
They were more driven than ever to get more involved with acting and film.
Austin is really driven to get somewhere in film and has been on two auditions before.
Both of them were telling me thank you for sending them to your class.
I will be updating their resumes to follow the format you described in your class.
I will also be getting some new headshots soon so that I can send them to agencies in town.
I can’t begin to express my gratitude for your willingness to work with children who are interested in acting and film.
