Donise,

We can’t thank you enough for your time and info. Your straight forward approach was appreciated, reaffirming core values education and hard work. We all learned so much in one day.

Your resource info has landed Olivia an audition for the roll of a plus size teen. (Bizzy Blonde Entertainment)

We are redoing her head shot and resume. Any additional advice would be helpful:)

Sincerely,

Curt, Brooke and Olivia

Hi Donise-

Thank you, thank you for the wonderful class yesterday!!!! Taylor said she had a great time and definitely feels more confident about exactly what to do when you go to an audition. I’m glad she at least let me stay for the beginning because I learned so much, too. That knowledge will help me be able to reinforce and remind her about what she learned. (Now I guess we just need to get her to an audition! :)

I’ll definitely talk to Laura and Heather about changes to her resume. Glad you’ll be talking to them about her, too, about how she’s doing. And, certainly if there’s anything you think I should know to be able to help her, feel free to pass along.

And, just since Laura was talking about it yesterday and to give you a couple minutes to laugh… here’s the link to Taylor’s tricks on a pogo stick (and 2 other real short videos she made that my husband put on youtube to share with our family).

Thanks again for a great class!!!

Have a great week!

Kim

Donise,

Thank you so much for an amazing day! Hope was so excited she talked about the workshop for at least an hour, and it was a very enlightening day for me on the industry.

Your teen workshop helped my daughter take the next step in her passion to perform and gave me the proper tools to move forward and not waste money or time with a learning curve trying on my own. Your resume tips, work permit information, links and advice on finding the right fit with a talent agency was so appreciated.

The most gratifying part of the experience though was that my daughter loved the workshop and came home wanting more!

Sincerely,

Carolyn L.

Hello, this is Connor.

I went to a workshop you did at class act dallas last saturday.

I just wanted to thank you, it was one of the most learning experiences I have ever had. I learned so much about the etiquette of auditioning and the acting world in general and about how to get your self known and a bunch of little things you can do get yourself known. thank you so much I really appreciate it.

you mentioned something to me about knowing a voice agent needing a 16 year old? I was wondering if you could give me more information on that. Also, at the beginning of the class you said that if any body didn’t have an agent to stay after class and talk to you about it, but I had to leave early for my play. I was wondering if you might be able to fill me in.

once again thank you so much, your teaching is invaluable, and I truly appreciate it.

Hey Donise!

Just a quick note to tell you that Courtney had an audition last week (first one in quite some time) and today she had a call back! Wahoo! She had mentioned after the audition that she kept hearing the tips that you had said to her at different times during the audition. Isn’t it nice to know she really heard you and that what you said stuck with her when she needed it most?! :)

Thanks again for sharing your wisdom with her/us!

Donise…

I just want to send a little note to thank you so much for the great class you gave yesterday.

I am so happy that I decided to sit and watch because it gave me the opportunity to learn right along side of my daughter Kennedy. As we drove home from the workshop, Kennedy gushed on and on about how much she learned and how much fun she had with you and the other actors in the class.

I am so impressed and appreciative with the way you spoke with the kids! You treated them like adults and didn’t sugar coat anything – which to me makes so much sense. I know that Kennedy gets told over and over again how “perfect” this and that is when I know for a fact it is NOT but you just laid it out there in good ole plain english and the kids where so receptive to it!

Your willingness to share your years and wealth of knowledge of the industry is incredible. It would have taken many lost auditions to learn even a small part of what you taught in just one day.

I could ramble on and on about how valuable yesterday will end up being to Kennedy’s acting career but I will just say -

Thank you so very much!!

Sincerely,

Cari S.

Donise,

Thank you for the great experience and I meant what I said about wishing we had done this earlier. I really wish we had taken this class years ago! We learned so much valuable information and the way it is presented makes it entertaining and fun.

Your direct approach is what moms need to help support their child through this industry.

I’ll be enrolling my other 3 kids as soon as they are old enough!

Sincerely,

Lori C.

Hi, Donise,

I wanted to send you an update on one of your former students! We have been sending out packets (headshot, resume, YOUR recommendation letter, cover letter and reply card). We have received “interested” reply cards from agencies in Austin and Dallas!

Just wanted to let you know that for years we have gotten NO responses and after your class and the wealth of info you supplied, we have finally gotten positive replies!

Charla T.

Dear Donise,

Just a note to say Thank You and to wish you well. You met my sons, Alec and Austin at your class at the State Theater last year. My youngest son went to an open casting call with Sharon Lieblein, Head of Casting for Nickelodeon this past Sunday. He was #33 in line to see her and he got his first CallBack!!! He had a great day and he enjoyed the moment as you advised in your class. He went back yesterday for his callback and he said he made them laugh and got great responses from them. He remembered advice from your class and had a blast.

I would recommend your style and your class to anyone.

Hello Donise!

I just wanted to let you know that Mallory thought your audition workshop was the best one (of any workshop/class) she has attended. She came out of it with the most incredible air of confidence, with her shoulders held high as she walked down the sidewalk (in front of Michael and I) after leaving the theater. Some of her comments included: “Can I go again next week?”; “It was AWESOME”; when asked what she liked about it, she replied “everything!”; and “Donise is the best ever… she is so easy to talk to… I felt like I’ve known her forever!” She remembered so much of what you taught that day, demonstrating such again and again for her dad and me, and again for her grandparents the next day.

Again, thanks so much for giving such a fantastic learning experience for young actors. I can truly tell you love what you do… and that’s what it’s all about!

You are truly a great inspiration and remarkable human being.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Margie G.

Hi, Donise,

Thanks for having my two sons in your class on Saturday. You must have done some really great things with them.

They were more driven than ever to get more involved with acting and film.

Austin is really driven to get somewhere in film and has been on two auditions before.

Both of them were telling me thank you for sending them to your class.

I will be updating their resumes to follow the format you described in your class.

I will also be getting some new headshots soon so that I can send them to agencies in town.

I can’t begin to express my gratitude for your willingness to work with children who are interested in acting and film.
